1. Introduction

Welcome to RankingRider ("we," "our," or "us"). RankingRider is a Shopify application developed by Kaestria that uses AI to generate and optimize product SEO content for Shopify merchants. 2. Information We Collect

When you install and use the RankingRider Shopify app, we collect the following data:

• Shop data: Your Shopify store domain, shop name, and access token to interact with the Shopify API on your behalf.
• Product data: Product titles, descriptions, types, vendor, and tags that you submit for SEO optimization.
• Optimization records: The SEO results generated by the AI (titles, meta descriptions, keywords, scores) associated with your shop domain.
• Billing data: Subscription plan information managed entirely through Shopify Billing — we do not store any payment card data.

We do not collect personal data about the end customers of your Shopify store.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your Shopify store and provide access to the app.
• To generate AI-powered SEO content based on your product data via the Google Gemini API.
• To store and display your optimization history within the app.
• To manage your subscription plan and enforce usage limits.
• To publish optimized SEO fields back to your Shopify store upon your explicit request.
• To improve the quality and performance of our service.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We share your data only with the following third-party services, strictly necessary for operating the app:

• Shopify: To access your store's product data and publish optimized content via the Shopify Admin API. Governed by the Shopify Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini API: Product data (title, description, category) is sent to generate SEO content. No data is retained by Google for training. Governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: Used for secure database storage of shop sessions and optimization records. Hosted on servers in the EU/US. Governed by the Supabase Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

5. Data Retention

We retain your shop data and optimization records for as long as the app is installed on your store. When you uninstall the app, your session is deleted immediately. All remaining data (optimization records, shop profile) is permanently deleted within 48 hours in accordance with Shopify's GDPR webhook requirements.

6. Security

Access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before being stored in our database. All data transmission occurs over HTTPS/TLS. Access to our database is restricted via role-based access control.

7. Your Rights

As a Shopify merchant, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at contact@rankingrider.com. You may also delete your data by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin, which will trigger automatic data deletion.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
